Pleasure, without apology
Intimova began with a simple frustration: that Nigerians deserved a sex store that treats them as the intelligent, discerning adults they are — honest and confident, and as private as they’d want to be.
For too long, buying anything intimate in our market meant one of two things: clinical and cold, or crude and cheap. Neither spoke to the discerning adult we had in mind — someone juggling a career, a family, a faith, a full life, who simply wanted body-safe products and honest answers without shame attached.
So we built the store we wished existed: confident, never crude; private by design; and genuinely helpful. Real information, body-safe products, and discretion woven through every order — because we understand exactly what is at stake when the subject is this personal.

How we get this right
Our editorial standards
Everything in our Journal is written to be genuinely useful — and honest about its limits.
- Written and reviewed in-house by the Intimova team, drawing on published sexual-health guidance — which we link when a claim rests on it.
- AI-assisted, human-decided. Some drafts start in our own writing tool, which is given our real product specs and is not allowed to invent experience, materials or test results. Nothing publishes until someone here has read, checked and edited it.
- Education, not diagnosis. Our guides are general information, never medical advice — and we say clearly when a question is one for a doctor or pharmacist.
- Kept current. We revisit and update guides as understanding changes, and each shows when it was last updated.
- No hype. We tell you what a product can and can’t do, and we’d rather recommend nothing than oversell.
- Claims you can check. Body-safety and materials are stated plainly on every product page, never buried.

Our body-safety promise
Every product we sell is held to a clear, non-negotiable standard.
- We name the material of everything we sell, on its own page. Our vibrators are body-safe silicone and ABS — both non-porous, so they can genuinely be cleaned.
- Formulas listed in full — our water-based lubricant is glycerin-free and paraben-free, as its maker states.
- Claims we can stand behind — where a spec comes from the manufacturer rather than from us, the page says so.
- Honest education, not hype — we tell you what a product can and can’t do, and when to see a professional instead.
